Master the game of golf and shoot low scores lickety-split

Let’s have a look at the basics of the golf swing and what I mean by the pre-swing before you start spending to much time at the driving range without improving your golf swing or golf score.

You can’t afford to get the grip wrong – if you do it will cause the ball to travel to places where it will be impossible for you to par,or birdie the hole. An improper grip will cause the club head to impact the ball at the wrong angle of attack. A poor grip may also negatively affect your swing and balance because we can tend to compensate for a poor grip by wrongly adjusting our alignment and shoulder turn. For a right handed player, can you not see any of your left hand knuckles as your look down on your grip? Is the tension of your grip too tight or too loose? Are you not holding the club in your fingers but instead in the palm of your hands? These are questions you should be asking yourself.

Setting Up to hit the golf ball – Your stance to the ball can ruin your golf shots if you get it wrong! An incorrect address will have you hitting the ball to the wrong places to improve your golf score! At address you may be too close to the ball therefore inhibiting your swing, too far from the ball causing you to stretch. You may slouch over the ball too much. You may even dribble over the ball but if your address isn’t correct then you may as well dribble over your scorecard. How far do you stand from the ball? Are your feet, shoulders, hips and club face aligned to the target? Is your balance correct- the weight of your body should be more on the balls and middle of your feet rather than your heels. Is your body weight evenly balanced between your left and right feet? Ask yourself these questions.

Your Ball Position in stance – Your ball position is so critical to the destiny of your shot! Quite simply if the ball is too far forward in your stance or too far back then not only does that induce a slice or a push but can cause the rest of your swing and your stance to over compensate and therefore go horribly wrong. For a right handed player are you adjusting your ball position correctly in relation to your left heel and distance from your body as you go up or down in club? Ask yourself these questions.

How to Drive the Ball Long and Straight – Last but not least you need to learn how to drive the golf ball. Remember that the driver swing is just an extension of the shorter swings like the wedges. Be sure to stay loose and keep a light grip as this will help to promote a relaxed and tension free body which helps to promote the mechanics of the golf swing. Be sure to get the right kind of driver for your swing. If you have a high club head speed over 115 mph then go for a stiff shaft flex and a loft under 9 degrees. If your club head speed is less than 100 mph then stick with the regular flex with a loft greater than 10 degrees.

This Is A Great Time To Buy A Used Chevy Truck

For business owners or if you just need a good second family vehicle, this is a great time to find great prices on used Chevy trucks.  With so much promoting of new cars, many people have been buying new vehicles and trading in their used trucks.  Many people have traded in their used Chevy trucks which is good for savvy shoppers.

The constant negative publicity concerning the auto industry and rising fuel costs have motivated a lot people to buy new cars.  That is good news for those of us looking for used Chevy Trucks for sale.  While dealerships give lousy trade-in values for full size vehicles at this time, they haven’t seen fit to lower their retail prices very much since they really want to move new cars off their lots.  Of course this is how the dealerships make their money.  There is little doubt that new vehicles might get better gas mileage, a smart buyer will consider what the vehicle will cost them over their total years of use.  If you can buy a strong Chevy truck that has a history of a long useful life, you might realize an actual savings over the lifetime of the vehicle when compared to buying a new vehicle.  Of course if you have a small business, nothing can replace the usefulness of owning a truck.

On the other hand, many local dealerships now sell their used Chevy trucks by online car auctions.  Don’t be fooled by the term “auction” in this case.  These car auctions are simply a means of selling their inventory at prices lower then you’ll find on their dealer car lots.  Some might hesitate at buying a vehicle online.  But consider the seller has to be completely honest in what he publishes.  He has to include good photos, give total disclosure of any problems and provide full warranty or policy statements.  In many cases, this is more then you receive when you deal with a live salesman at a dealership.  The online auction system is very strict concerning seller regulations so if a seller wants to continue selling, he has to satisfy his customers.  That is more then can be said for many local car dealerships today.

So it makes good sense to consider a Chevy truck if you have the need for a larger vehicle.  Their reputation promises a long life of service at a bargain price if you know where to shop.

From Benjamin Franklin to Rimless Bifocal Shades

The United States man of science, Ben Franklin, who endured both myopia as well as presbyopia, devised bifocal reading glasses in 1784 to avoid needing to frequently switch between two pairs of eyeglasses.

The 1st lenses for rectifying astigmia were manufactured by the British stargazer George Airy within 1825.

Along the history of bifocals, the building of spectacle frames also developed. Early on oculars were contrived to be either held in place with hand or by maintaining force on the nose. Girolamo Savonarola advised that oculars could be held in place with a ribbon passed over the subject’s head, this in turn fastened by the weight of a hat.

Entering modern bifocal history, the contemporary fashion of bifocal reading glasses supported by temples passing over the ears, was produced in 1727 by the British lens maker Edward Scarlett. These designs were not at once prosperous, however, and assorted styles with attached handles like “scissors-glasses” and lorgnettes stayed fashionable throughout the eighteenth and into the early nineteenth century.

In the early 20th century, Moritz von Rohr at Zeiss made the Zeiss Punktal spherical point-focus lens system which dominated the eyeglass lens field for several years.

Despite the rising fame of contacts and laser restorative eye surgery, eyeglasses stay rather common, as their technology has continued to evolve. For example, it’s currently possible to buy frames constituted of special memory metal alloys that return to their correct configuration after being bent. Other frames have spring-loaded hinges.

Glasses have come a long way, haven’t they? In fact, today you can even buy sunglasses with bifocal lenses.

Most of these designs are also distinctly better able to resist the stresses of day-to-day wear as well as the periodic accident. Contemporary frames are also frequently made from robust, light-weight materials like titanium alloys that weren’t available in earlier times.

Easily Fix Your Cadillac Suspension Problems With Low Cost Conversion Kits & Air Suspension

The first generation of the Cadillac Seville was seen from 1976 until 1979 and was first based on the GM X body platform, which was a rear wheel drive platform. This was the same platform that was used for the Chevy Nova. Cadillac added a more stylized body to the vehicle that made the Seville stand out, though the platform had been used before. The German Opel Diplomat was also an option, but Cadillac ultimately chose the X body platform because of budget concerns. In the beginning, the Seville suspension was almost identical to the Nova, right down to the brakes and the lug nuts! It wasn’t until the 1977 model that Cadillac changed up the Seville so that it had different lugs as well as new rear brakes. Luckily for the Cadillac division of General Motors, the Seville air suspension was a hit with consumers despite its very expensive first model, costing almost $12,500!

This first generation of the Seville was powered by a 5.7 liter V8 engine that boasted a Bendix/Bosch electronically controlled fuel injection system. This type of fuel injection was attractive to consumers because it gave the Seville silky handling and performance. The engine was the source of 180 horsepower and could accelerate from 0 to 60 in 11.5 seconds. Cadillac added a 5.7 liter V8 engine in 1978 that was diesel powered, but it was never known as a reliable engine or one that could perform. In the wake of the energy crisis of the 1970s, bigger was no longer better in terms of American cars. Import brands had risen to the occasion by providing cars that offered luxury in more compact, fuel-efficient packages. Cadillac, long known for its opulent land barges, sensed that a change was in the air, and in 1975, it launched the Cadillac Seville coil springs. Marketed as Cadillac’s first “internationally sized” vehicle, the Seville was both the automaker’s smallest and most expensive sedan.

Which is Cheaper – Homemade Solar Panels or Solar Panel Kits?

When a person decides to see what is available in alternative energy sources, chances are they will gravitate to solar power, and more than likely to solar panels.  As they do so, they are faced with the question of attempting to decide if the better alternative would be investing in solar panel kits or building their own homemade solar panels

With such great options, which is the better choice?

Prior to making a decision as to whether or not solar panel kits are a more intelligent choice than homemade solar panels or the reverse, it is crucial to take the time and learn about the strengths and weaknesses of each of them.

Just as with any kit, solar panel kits come with their main component, solar panels, already constructed, extracting minimum work from the homeowner.  Not surprisingly, it is not strange for people to obtain their solar panel kits and let a professional install them, keeping themselves free from the whole thing.

I don’t think it is a question that if this were easily available to everyone, everyone would be doing it.

A serious negative for some people, though, is the expense when it is all said and done.  Coming in between 8k-55k, it is not hard to see how this would be sticker shock and a deal breaker for most folks.  Unbelieveable as it is, sometimes the cost is even more.

Enough about solar panel kits, what are homemade solar panels?  Homemade solar panels are made from scratch, usually from some type of plan or guide.  Not as easy as an IKEA bookshelf, but close!

One of the terrific advantages of homemade solar panels is just how crazily inexpensive it is to begin.  It is not unusual for someone who has the right plans and direction to get some things up and running on solar power for under $200.  There is even a guy who used homemade solar panels he made using a popular guide, to power his RV and workshop.  For fifty bucks.  Pretty amazing, eh?

Although homemade solar panels can be a lot cheaper than solar panel kits currently on the market, you have to know what you are doing.  If you barrel ahead without the proper knowledge, you are setting yourself up for failure, wasting both precious time and money.

Photo Hosting and Photo Sharing Sites Let You Do More Than Just Buy Photo Prints

Photo sharing is the publishing or transfer of a user’s digital photos through an online service, thus enabling the user to share them with others (whether publicly or privately). Even though image sharing is a more general term and would include photo sharing as a subset of the available options, the term ‘photo sharing’ is more widely known. Photo sharing is not confined to the web and personal computers but is also possible from portable devices such as cameraphones, using applications that can automatically transfer photos as you take them, to photo sharing sites and photoblogs, either directly or via MMS. Photo sharing sites usually propose several ways to classify images and photo sharing services make organizing, storing and sharing digital photos convenient, easy, safe and most importantly, fun.

Photo sharing, making cool photo slideshows, and image hosting will enhance your online community experience. Photo sharing has become increasingly popular in recent years as a means for individuals to publish or distribute their digital images online. Photo sharing sites provide free access to vast numbers of images as photo sharing sites undoubtedly provide quick and easy access to billions of images from millions of contributors around the globe.

The first photo sharing sites originated during the mid to late 1990s primarily from service providing online ordering of prints (photo-finishing), but many more came into being during the early 2000s with the goal of providing permanent and centralized access to a user’s photos, and in some cases video clips too. The number of digital photo sharing web sites has increased tremendously in the past few years, and most of them are pretty impressive. While photoblogs tend only to display a chronological view of user-selected medium-sized photos, most photo sharing sites provide multiple views (such as thumbnails, and slideshows), the ability to classify photos into albums as well as add annotations (such as captions or “tags”) and comments.

Some photo sharing sites provide complete online organization tools equivalent to desktop photo-management applications. You can edit your photos and share your photos and photo albums with your friends and family with this photo hosting and photo sharing site. To facilitate the sale of prints and gifts to family and friends, these sites typically offer a limited form of photo sharing. Having your images on a popular photo sharing site can certainly raise the profile of your collection, and you may find you are even able to make a little income from licensing their use or allowing users to buy prints.

How to: A Car Stereo Installation Guide

Want to save some money? Ever wonder if you could do a car stereo installation yourself? Yes, you can do it yourself! Go ahead, spend that money on your hardware! Don’t spend it on labor. Besides, doing a car stereo installation yourself can be a very rewarding experience, not to mention you can learn a lot from it too. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing your “creation” in action, running smoothly and perfectly.

But be very careful, you really won’t want to damage your expensive hardware. Well, most car audio hardware are no-brainers to install, you’d find that most of the time the parts have specially shaped sockets and slots etc. and would only fit where it’s supposed to be installed. Still, it’s best to proceed methodically.

In a car stereo installation, you have to determine what kind of rig you’re going to put into your vehicle. If you’re a beginner, it’s best you do a car stereo installation if it’s just a simple system. You may want to leave the complicated stuff to the professionals, like installing delicate equipment like LCD panels, motorized parts etc. especially if it requires the creation of custom panels and such.

Head units are one of the easiest to do in a car stereo installation. Fortunately, most units follow the same size standards (DIN). In many cars, once the factory radio is removed the aftermarket radio will fit in the hole. In many other cars, a kit is needed if the factory hole is too big, or not deep enough. In some cases the dash has to be cut. Any car stereo store should have kits required for installation.

There are two types of mounting in a car stereo installation. ISO mounting is when the radio can be screwed to existing factory radio brackets, such as in most Japanese cars. Ring mounting is when an aftermarket radio comes with a metal ring that gets mounted to the factory radio hole or aftermarket kit via bendable tabs. In many cars, dash and trim rings have to be filed to enlarge the radio hole. Once the ring is installed, the radio slides in and is held by snaps. In most cases, special tools are required to remove the radio.

Speakers are very critical in a car stereo installation. No matter how expensive your speakers are, if they are not properly installed, the sound will not be up to par.

In a simple car stereo installation, you’ll probably be using speakers that fit into a factory location. Just make sure there are no gaps or holes. Sometimes building a wood or fiberglass baffle helps reduce holes and gives you much better sound. But always be careful when using power tools around speakers. Car stereo installation warranties usually don’t cover holes in speakers.

For unconventional speaker locations, sometimes metal has to be cut. You might want to leave this to the professionals, tools like plasma cutters and pneumatics drills are required. But if you’re going to insist, a pair of metal snips (left and right cut) will do.

A car stereo installation has to put up with vibrations and other noise sources in its environment. Even though it is impossible to eliminate these completely, there are products that will greatly decrease the noise and rattling, particularly on non-luxury cars. Liners, sprays and adhesive strips and even carpeting applied onto the panels can make a world of difference.

High Cholesterol

Cholesterol is a white, waxy substance that is found in some of the foods we eat; it is also manufactured by all the cells of our body, but most notably by the liver cells. A certain amount of cholesterol is extremelyimportant to maintaining good health.

It’s not just an important component of cell walls, it is also essential for the production of certain hormones. For most of use, between 70 and 75 percent of the cholesterol in their blood is made by their liver; the other 25 to 30 percent comes from the food they eat. Your foods cholesterol, therefore, is something that you can change by your own efforts.

Your body requires fat and cholesterol in order to maintain good health. In infancy and childhood, fat is essential for normal brain development; throughout life, it is essential to provide energy and support growth. Cholesterol is used to build the walls of cells throughout the body and for the manufacture of key essential substances like hormones and vitamin D. That makes it important to have some fat and cholesterol available in your body at all times.

If cholesterol is needed for healthy bodily function, how is cholesterol bad for you? It’s simple. The answer to these questions is simple. A certain amount of cholesterol is important for the body. However when your blood cholesterol levels exceed 200mg/dL (milligrams per deciliter), you can be at risk of developing heart disease. It’s the reason so many of us are looking for a solution to high cholesterol.

Elevated total blood cholesterol is clearly a modifiable heart disease risk factor. Many times heart attacks, bypass surgeries, angioplasties, and sudden cardiac deaths occur in people with total cholesterol levels above 200mg/dL. Cholesterol medication is used to help control those levels.

A better way to estimate your risk of heart disease is to know your ratio of total cholesterol to good cholesterol. It’s not just the total cholesterol level that tells you what your risk is: you actually need to know what your ratio is.
