We also hoped that in years to come, the wood would be a tranquil place that we could enjoy too.”
Following ten years of successful growth, the Haywards felt that it was time to expand the ‘Millennium Wood’ and arranged for another 3,300 native British trees to be planted near to the existing woodland. In association with Thornhayes Nursery of Cullompton, Devon, a variety of trees were planted, including Oak, Ash, Cherry, Crack Willow, Spindleberry and many more.
